^Lot 2017 CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 1897 PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN.

Cal. 12 GA. S# 387059. Bbl. 28". Model 1897 pump action shotgun mfg. by Winchester in 1908 and later customized into a custom trap configuration. Bbl. markings have been scrubbed. Side of pump slide is marked "MODEL 1897/ -WINCHESTER-", with the S# marked on the underside of the receiver and bbl. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall, with a dull blue finish applied to the top of the receiver. Bolt, carrier, and sides of hammer have been polished and jeweled in-the-white. Custom plain wood pump, with custom pistol grip buttstock featuring a flared light wood grip cap, left handed cheekpiece, and a ventilated Pachmayr White Line red rubber recoil pad. Bbl. has been threaded with a removable "EXT. FULL" marked choke and features an added grooved V/R. S# on bbl. takedown assembly has possibly been renumbered to match. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some spots of light to mild pitting beneath the finish. Mirror bore. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture is very good, showing some light superficial handling marks overall. (25-4810/MLW). MODERN. $400-600.
